Scenic Mendoza & San Juan
Mendoza offers another center for outdoor adventures, from white water rafting on the Mendoza River, mountain biking, hiking, and horseback riding along the foothills of the Andes Mountains.
The landscapes, the weather, and the people offer even more. The city of Mendoza is a large city, and with it’s wood trimmed squares, parks, and architecture, it is one of the most beautiful in Argentina.
Mendoza is said to be the land of the sun and good wine. The majority of the days are sunny, so it is possible to enjoy the good weather any season of the year. The province is also one of the main wine regions in Argentina, and you’ll see signs of wine everywhere you go. Visiting large, small, rustic or modern wineries is must in your visit to Mendoza. Even if wine is not your thing, the beauty of the landscape makes a stop at a winery worth it!
Key to the landscape are the sharp Andes mountains. Summer or winter, with or without snow, these mountains provide a perfect backdrop to any winery. For a more active trip, there are hundreds of hikes for all levels as well, which offer even better views from above.
A deeper discovery of Mendoza is all about exploring the mountains through expeditions to Maipu Volcano, crossing the Andes by foot, and valley trekking. And of course, plentiful wine tour options. This city has something for everyone and is high on our list!
